Auburn Students Plan Protest
http://blog.al.com/spotnews/2008/12/auburn_students_plan_protest_o.html
Students at Auburn University are planning a protest over Tommy Tuberville's departure as football coach.
Planners say hundreds of students are expected to march from the center of campus to the president's mansion today. They say Tuberville was wrongly forced out after 10 years that included an undefeated season and a conference championship.
An organizer of the demonstration, Taylor Jones, says many people believe Tuberville was fired despite the university's claim that he resigned. They're pointing to the school's agreement to pay Tuberville more than $5 million he wouldn't have been due unless he was fired.
A university spokeswoman says Auburn is standing by its statement that Tuberville resigned.

When I walked out of the UGa game 2 weeks ago, it was the 1st time this year that I walked out not being frustrated with my Tigers. I believe that Kodi is coming along and I believe that if he was our starter the whole season we would not be 5-6 right now. But I still don't know what to expect on Saturday against the Tide. WE MUST BELIEVE!!!
ATTN: Paul Rhodes and AU Defense - This is your game to win. You are going to have to keep UAT down to keep the offense in the game. With everyone getting healthy we should be able to come out and knock heads like we were in the 1st half of the season!!!
The last time we went into the UAT game where we had a losing record and we won the game was in 1949.
The last time we played UAT on Nov. 29 was in 1986 and we all know who scored the winning touchdown!!!

It time for the Auburn Nation to stand up and shout -
"We an't going take this Bull Shit anymore, GO TO HELL ALABAMA"

But DAMN IT - I BELIEVE AND YOU SHOULD ALSO!!!
This is the 112th meeting of the Deep South's Oldest Rivalry and is such a huge game every year recruiting wise because the way Auburn is so close to the Georgia state line. The state of Georgia has given Auburn some of its biggest coaches and players but none bigger than -

In the last 12 meetings the lower ranked or unranked team has won 7 times. Over the same period the teams have split the games.
AUBURN has won 51 consecutive games when the Tigers have scored 30 or more points.
Can you tell me when the last time the Tigers lost when scoring at least 30 points?
I know it's an early game but we can do this.
Last thought, I was in Athens last year and witnessed the dancing Dawgs and their classless act. I know that many of our players and fans are still upset with it and have been very public about it this week. One thing I love about AUBURN is that no matter what happens before, during or after a game the AUBURN NATION has always shown the most upright respect for the opponent and their fans. It has been 22 years since we turned on the sprinklers. So if somehow UGa gets out of hand, I know just the right person to call to get the switch flipped!!!
You think AU is MAN enough to beat them Dawgs? I hope so because if not the Loveliest Village on the Plains may not be so lovely anymore!!!

This will be the northernmost city we have played since traveling to Syracuse, NY in 2001.
Auburn's all-time record on Thursday night games is 6-1. Who was the loss to?Even though he in no longer with us. It looks like John Denver is picking the War Eagles to WIN!
I do hope the Country Roads of West Virginia guides us back to the WINNING PATH!!!
Hope Dye is telling Tuberville to GET IT TOGETHER!!!

I just don't know what to say this week. Sorry it's so short and does not have much thought but this has to be the craziest week since Bowden left in 1998.
Like others, I'm still frustrated with the Vandy loss and I just feel like the program is in a heavy fog and no one knows what the HELL is going on!!! With Franklin hitting the road it's time to come TOGETHER and SUPPORT our players and coaches MORE than EVER!!!

No stat's or crazy thoughts this week just point blank - BEAT ARKANSAS!!!
The 1st time we played the Hogs in SEC play #34 was retired.

I hope the spread is a good recruiting tool because the offense is averaging 329.4 yards per game so far through 5 game and through 5 game's in 2007 it was 330.4. One whole yard!!! Killing ME!!!
But anyway -
We made it out of September with one loss which is better than last year but our offense has stepped back light years. This is not the time for the program to start going backwards. With the evil empire to the west growing with strength a loss would be catastrophic to the AUBURN nation. This is Vandy we are talking about. They are last in the conference in offense and defense and may be ranked and have Gameday coming but still, its Vanderbilt. Enough said!!!

Auburn has a 2-1 record with a total of 38 points scored against SEC schools. This is the lowest output of points since scoring 22 in 1960 in 3 SEC games and we went 2-1 also.
The last time we lost to Vandy was in 1955. Only 2 of our coaches were born at that time - Tuberville was 1 and Dunn was 2 years old.
Vandy is GONNA need a

As we start the month of October we should leave this month with 3 more wins. Hopefully the offense will come around and get some momentum going into November before we hit Amen Corner.
Maybe Auburn will find its identity with the offense and remember how we made it through the years...

The last time we played LSU at night in Jordan-Hare was 2000 and we all know who won the West that year.
Robert Dunn has had a great year so far and may be the most electric return man we have had since this guy...
Also the only time we have played LSU on Sept. 20 was in 1997 and we all know once again who won the West that year. There have been a few rumbles from the team in the west but after Saturday night we will show everyone that we are still the dominating force in this state and the Western division. After Saturday night and the smell of corndogs clears the air and the corner is rolled - ALL will be good in the "Loveliest Village On The Plains"
