To all the fans typing away on message boards about how they will not buy tickets and those who are bad mouthing a man who WANTS to come and coach this team, I hope every one of you never set foot on campus again. Gather up all your Auburn gear and drop it off at the salvation army. I hope all of you are happy that any possible recruits who log into chat rooms and blogs over the next few weeks will see what awaits them in terms of fan support. For Gods sake, it's OK to say you liked someone else for the job but THIS (not the hire ) is a disgrace. I used to make fun of all the Alabama fans for having no CLASS and loving the scoreboard more than the university. If your love for Auburn is so little that you can't keep your dislike for the new coach private or at least respectful....don't let the door hit you on the way out. If you love Auburn then get on those message boards and show some Auburn class!
Nope. We had a chance. TG was a GREAT COACH but alas - the powers/fate was not his.
I don't live in Auburn or travel much there so I don't buy tickets. I don't think this "union" will last and I hope this is the final nail for Lowder, Rane, Jacobs and company.
I'm not a fairweather friend but if we didn't fire TT in the first place this shit wouldn't have happened.

That's not the point. I am not going to blindly support every decision AU makes without question. That is what Bammers do. I don't agree with the way this search was handled and one of the least qualified candidates was hired. The vast majority of AU fans aren't happy and deserve to have their voices heard. That is the difference b/t AU and UAT. They will blindly support anything UAT does without question. Such is the case for people without a brain who can't think for themselves. And don't you dare question my love Auburn University.

I do not believe my earlier comment was aimed at fans like yourself. I agree that fans should evaluate the decisions made by the university. That sick feeling in my stomach comes from the way fans choose to express their dislike with certain decisions. Many people in my family feel the same way you do about Chizik.
Most of the comments I have seen on the internet have nothing to do with fans wanting their voices heard because they love Auburn. I dare anyone to tell me how this type of atmosphere will translate into good recruiting, good media coverage and WINS. I don't know if Chizik will be successful at Auburn but I do know that not a single person who comments on this blog (or any other) is in a position to evaluate and hire a coach. Don't brand a guy as the wrong choice before he coaches his first Au game.
